IDENTITY & Product launch

Capital One needed to establish a clear and credible presence for its newly formed Tech division, defining how the brand would show up within a competitive and complex space.

As lead ACD, Art, I drove the visual direction and helped shape the identity system, known as Cortex, building a flexible foundation designed to scale across product launches and marketing touchpoints.

The system was developed and pressure-tested in real time, supporting a range of outputs including sales decks, modular email templates, landing pages, and one-pagers. This iterative approach ensured the identity held up across use cases while maintaining clarity, consistency, and a more confident, modern presence for Capital One Tech.

VISUAL IDENTITY

Cortex

Before launching any products, we defined how Capital One Tech would show up in the developer space.

Cortex is a foundational visual system designed to elevate the brand’s tone and presence, bringing clarity and confidence to complex offerings. Built to stand out in a crowded landscape, it established a more sophisticated identity while staying grounded in the Capital One master brand.

Critical Stack

Built on the Cortex foundation, Critical Stack, Capital One Tech’s flagship product, required product-facing materials that could clearly communicate complex, developer-focused tools across multiple touchpoints.
